Chris Pramas, President of Green Ronin, commented on the collaboration, emphasizing a long-held interest in creating miniatures for “The Expanse” alongside an experienced partner like Wargames Atlantic.
I’ve been gaming with miniatures for over 40 years, so I’m delighted to be working with Wargames Atlantic to make the first miniatures for the Expanse. This is a move I’ve wanted Green Ronin to make for many years and we couldn’t have picked a better partner.”
The campaign will offer two types of boxed sets: Spaceship Crew and Ships of the Expanse. The Spaceship Crew set will feature 28mm scale miniatures with various parts for customization, while the Ships of the Expanse will include 1/1000 scale models of ships suitable for RPG campaigns and other wargames.
Hudson Adams, CEO of Wargames Atlantic, noted the rich potential of “The Expanse” universe for miniature-making and expressed enthusiasm about working with Green Ronin.
“The Expanse is an incredibly rich universe for miniature makers to explore. We’re incredibly excited to work with the excellent team at Green Ronin to bring these sets to life in hard plastic!”
The crowdfunding success will potentially allow for further expansions in the miniature range, including adding more character sets and ships. The Expanse RPG: Transport Union Edition, which serves as the core rulebook for the RPG, will also be promoted through this campaign alongside the miniatures. Additional campaign items will include new RPG supplements, dice, and condition cards.
