WHEELING, W.Va. — The Wheeling Heritage “Show of Hands” summer crowdfunding event took place at the Wheeling Artisan Center on Wednesday, highlighting the efforts of four local business owners.
Among the participants were East Wheeling Clayworks, Northern Belles, “Ask Yourself Why Not?” and Fully Lit & Co.
Fully Lit & Co. emerged victorious, securing over $6,000 in funding. Owner Shelly Reager expressed her gratitude and shared her plans for the prize money.
“Hard work is what I would say finally pays off that this means and the support from our community,” Reager said.
Reager intends to use the funds to develop a new website for her business.
“It’s non-stop,” she said. “I mean, we are constantly getting messages people wanting to know what it is that we have how much things cost, and with it only being me I can’t do it all myself so this is going to help out tremendously.”
