Taylor Swift makes $100,000 donation to family of Kansas City DJ who lost his life in Chiefs' parade shooting

Taylor Swift has made a generous donation of $100,000 to the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan, a Kansas City radio DJ who tragically lost her life in a mass shooting at the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory parade. Swift, whose boyfriend is Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce, made two donations of $50,000 each to a GoFundMe page set up to support the family. The donations were confirmed by a representative for Swift, who explained that she donated twice because the crowdfunding site only accepts a maximum of $50,000. In a message on the page, Swift expressed her deepest sympathies and condolences to the family. The GoFundMe page was created with a goal of raising $75,000 and has received over $218,000 from more than 2,000 contributors as of Friday morning. Lisa Lopez-Galvan attended the parade with her husband and adult son, who was also injured in the shooting. The 43-year-old mother of two was described as an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Swift’s donations were made overnight while she was starting her Eras Tour in Melbourne. Lopez-Galvan, known as “Lisa G,” was a DJ for the show “Taste of Tejano” and had a passion for music. The shooting at the parade left 22 people injured, including 11 children. Police have detained three juveniles in connection with the incident.
