Rezon Ltd, known for its flagship product, Halos, a CE and UKCA-certified protective headband, is seeking public investment to support the future of brain protection in sport.
The headband is scientifically engineered to reduce the risk of concussion and sub-concussion in contact and collision sports.
Judith McMinn, CEO and founder of Rezon, said: “Our crowdfunding launch marks a significant milestone for the future of brain protection in sport.

“For 30 years I have asked why we protect our shins and teeth in sport, but not the brain?”
The company operates across B2B, and B2C channels, with direct sales, partnerships with schools and clubs, and international distribution.
Rezon sees crowdfunding as a way for the public to partake in this change, due to the direct impact on public health.
Ms McMinn said: “Crowdfunding allows the public to be part of this change, because this is something that directly affects public health.
“For brain protection to work, it must scale publicly.
“We want the sports community, parents, medics, coaches, schools and clubs and athletes to own part of this journey, to protect their brain health and the brain health of the people they love.”
Through this initiative, Rezon aims to gather funding and support to accelerate its global commercialisation, expand in grassroots and elite sport, scale supply chain capacity, and roll out into medical use cases for individuals with a specific heightened vulnerability to head injury.
The company, which has already sold more than 2,000 units across 30-plus countries, has opened its funding round through Crowdcube.
The Rezon Halos headband is a patented, PPE Category II protective non-helmeted headband with nine moving layers specifically designed to mitigate rotational forces to the brain.
These are the forces most linked to concussion and the sub-concussive impacts that research shows are 500 times more common.
Unlike most head protection on the market, which focuses exclusively on linear impact force and concussive impacts, Halos addresses the mode of injury increasingly linked to CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy) risk and long-term neurological harm.
The product is internationally recognised, achieving the Virginia Tech five-star product rating for reducing concussion risk by 74 per cent.
In 2023, Rezon also won the BSIF Safety Award and achieved B-Corp status.
