By now, there’s no doubt you’ve probably seen, read, or heard about the latest legal drama surrounding hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.
As previously reported by The Root, on Monday, both of Bad Boy producer’s homes in Los Angeles and Miami were raided by Homeland Security Investigations in relation to an alleged federal sex trafficking investigation. This comes nearly two months after yet another bombshell lawsuit was lobbed against him by one of his former producers Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones in which he alleged Combs sexually harassed, assaulted, threatened and drugged him. Jones also claimed he recorded damning footage of Combs and his associates “engaging in serious illegal activity.”
While it’s unclear exactly who Combs’ associates were that Jones is referring too, a variety of celebs and notable figures have been name dropped in Jones’ suits and more and more details are released. Here’s running list…
On Tuesday, it was revealed that Diddy’s own son Christian “King” Combs was also named in Lil’ Rod’s suit for allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting a woman.
While “King” Combs isn’t named as a co-defendant, his brother Justin is, alongside Cuba Gooding Jr. and others.
Per official court documents, model and actress Daphne Joy was named on Wednesday in Lil Rod’s suit as an alleged sex worker who was paid alongside rapper Yung Miami.
“Robin Greenhill, the accountant, would ensure the wiring, funds transfer, or cash payments to sex workers,” the documents read. “Frankie Santella, Moy Baun, Brendan Paul, and KK would also be responsible for ensuring payment to sex workers in cash. Yung Miami, Jade, and Daphne Joy were paid a monthly fee to work as Mr. Combs’ sex workers and received payment via wire transfer from Robin Greenhill which outlined Defendants ongoing criminal operation.”
Daphne is also one of the mothers of rapper 50 Cent’s children. Once the news broke, 50 reacted in a post to Instagram, writing in the caption: “I didn’t know you was a sex worker, you little sex worker.LOL Yo this shit is a movie.”
50 and Daphne dated in 2011 and welcomed son Sire the following year before parting ways shortly after.
On Wednesday, it was revealed that one half of the rap duo City Girls, Yung Miami (a.k.a. Caresha) was named in Lil Rod’s suit. Per court documents, Yung Miami stands accused of transporting “pink cocaine”—a mix of both cocaine and ectasy—known on the street as “tuci.”
The document reads:
“Plaintiff and the Combs Rico Enterprise were rehearsing for ‘Something in the Westival.” in Virginia,” the court filing reads. “Plaintiff Jones personally witnessed Mr. Combs do a few lines of coke in his dressing room. Defendant Sean Combs wanted tuci but Brendan forgot it, so Defendant Kristina Khorram [Diddy’s Chief of Staff] called Yung Miami. Who then brought it on the private jet from Miami.”
The rapper was also listed as a sex worker for Diddy who received a “monthly fee.”
“Yung Miami, Jade, and Daphne Joy were paid a monthly fee to work as Mr. Combs’ sex workers and received payment via wire transfer from Robin Greenhill [Diddy’s accountant] which outlined Defendants ongoing criminal operation,” according to court documents.
Yung Miami’s cousin was also named for allegedly sexually assaulting Lil Rod on Thanksgiving 2022.
Per court documents:
Mr. Combs was intoxicated and offered cocaine to Mr. Jones. Mr. Jones rejected him and proceeded to walk to the restroom. While using the restroom Yung Miami’s cousin burst into the bathroom and began groping Mr. Jones. Mr. Jones believes that Mr. Combs sent her in there to sexually assault Mr. Jones. As she entered the bathroom she dropped to her knees and began performing oral sex on Mr. Jones exposed penis.
Mr. Jones pushed her away and exited the bathroom. Yung Miami’s cousin did not accept Mr. Jones rejection, as she proceeded to follow Mr. Jones out of the bathroom. She started undressing and attempted to straddle him and have sex with him in the presence of Mr. Combs and his staff.
On Tuesday, actor Cuba Gooding Jr. was named as an additional co-defendant in Lil Rod’s lawsuit. Per court documents, Cuba was alleged to have sexually harassed and assaulted Lil Rod. Lil Rod claims that he believes Diddy groomed him in order to “pass him off” to Cuba.
Per court documents:
Mr. Jones believes that Mr. Combs was grooming him to pass him off to his friends. This fear became reality when Mr. Combs introduced Mr. Jones to Cuba Gooding Jr. while they were on Mr. Combs’ yacht. During the introduction, Mr. Combs suggested that Cuba “get to know” Mr. Jones better. He then left them alone in a makeshift studio on the yacht.
As evidenced by a video, of which screenshots are imbedded below, Cuba Gooding Jr. began touching, groping, and fondling Mr. Jones’ legs, his upper inner thighs near his groin, the small of his back near his buttocks and his shoulders. Mr. Jones was extremely uncomfortable, and proceeded to lean away from Mr. Gooding Jr. He rejected his advances and Mr. Gooding Jr. did not stop until Mr. Jones forcibly pushed him away. The following is a screenshot11 of the encounter with Cuba Gooding Jr.”
As previously reported by The Root, on Monday, The Duke of Sussex was reportedly named in court documents as an example of the level of celebrity Diddy—and subsequently those who were “participating in and facilitating Combs’ sex trafficking venture”—would have access to in return for their cooperation in alleged illegal and sexual activity.
“Mr Combs was known for throwing the ‘best’ parties. Affiliation with, and or sponsorship of Mr Combs’ sex-trafficking parties garnered legitimacy and access to celebrities such as famous athletes, political figures, artists, musicians and international dignitaries like British royal, Prince Harry,” the documents read.
Justin Dior Combs, one of Diddy’s sons, is also named as a co-defendant in the suit. Per court documents, Justin is alleged to have been present at a Sep. 2022 shooting at Chalice Recording Studios, engaged in illicit sex acts with sex workers and underage girls; solicit prostitutes; engaged in “freak offs,” specifically on January 2023, “knowingly and intentionally participated in, perpetrated, assisted, supported, facilitated a sex-trafficking venture that was in and affecting interstate and foreign commerce, together and with others” and more.
While Chris Brown isn’t named specifically in court documents, he’s referenced as one of two redacted figures (“Redacted R&B Singer”) who was specifically alleged to have been “in Mr. Combs Los Angeles home consorting with underaged girls and sex workers.”
Another clue that points to it being Chris is the footnote at the bottom of that same page which reads: “a Grammy Award winning R&B singer who had trouble with law enforcement after assaulting a Bajan Billionaire.”
Like Brown, while Meek Mill wasn’t named specifically in court documents, he’s referenced as one of two redacted (“Redacted Rapper”) figures who was specifically and allegedly “in Mr. Combs Los Angeles home consorting with underaged girls and sex workers.”
Another clue that points to it being Meek is the footnote at the bottom of that same page which reads: “He is a Philadelphia Rapper who dated Nicki Minaj.”
As one of the additional producers on Diddy’s “Love” album, the same album Lil Rod worked on, Stevie J was named in the suit over allegations that he engaged in sexual intercourse with Diddy and an anonymous Caucasian male.
Per court documents:
Mr. Combs used access to Stevie J, and his knowledge of Mr. Jones admiration of Stevie J to groom and entice Mr. Jones to engage in homosexuality. Mr. Combs went so far as to share a video of Stevie J anally penetrating a Caucasian male without a condom. This was done to ease Mr. Jones’ anxiety concerning homosexuality.
According to Mr. Combs, “this is a normal practice in the music industry, look even Stevie J is doing it.” Mr. Combs informed Mr. Jones that he had engaged in sexual intercourse with rapper5 (REDACTED), R&B singer6 (REDACTED), and Stevie J. Mr. Combs promised to make sure that Mr. Jones wins producer of the year at the Grammys if he engaged in homosexuality.
Stevie J is also alleged to have sent threatening text messaged to Lil Rod after going on social media and attempting to get all of the monies owed to him by Combs for his work on the “Love” album.
Per court documents:
Mr. Jones attempted to work with Mr. Combs to secure his publishing and royalty rights for the work he completed on the Love album. Mr. Combs only offered Mr. Jones $29,000.00 for 13 months, thousands of hours of work, and 9 songs that made it to the Love album. Ironically, Mr. Jones was willing to take $50,000.00, his publishing and royalties. Mr. Combs self-serving greed would not allow him to pay13 Mr. Jones an additional $21,000.
Mr. Combs deceptive business practices became so bad that Mr. Jones was left with no choice other than to make a public plea on social media for Mr. Combs to pay him for his work. After publicly requesting that Mr. Combs do the right thing, and pay him fairly, Mr. Jones received an onslaught of threatening messages from Stevie J and Love Records A&R DeForrest Taylor.
Stevie was also alleged to have been responsible for recruiting “sex workers and attends and participates in freak offs.”
