The owners of a Santa Fe food truck that was burglarized and vandalized two nights in a row last month have reopened their business after an online crowdfunding campaign raised nearly $7,000 on their behalf.
Abdel Malek Belghiti Alaoui of Yalla Shawarma, which serves Moroccan-style Mediterranean food, said he and his two partners, Zakaria Belghiti Alaoui and Youssef Lakhrif, are grateful for the support they received through their fundraising campaign that was designed to offset the $7,000 in losses and damage they sustained during the two incidents Nov. 23 and Nov. 24.
“I must say, the GoFundMe campaign was exponentially helpful and unexpected,” said Abdel Malek Belghiti Alaoui.
