Charlamagne Torches Mom in Viral N-Word Video for Crowdfunding Over $600k: ‘And You Wonder Why Some People Spell America With Three Ks’

Charlamagne tha God on Monday called out the mother involved in a viral video involving the N-word after she crowdfunded over half a million dollars.

Last week, a woman named Shiloh Hendrix found herself at the center of controversy when she appeared to use the slur toward a 5-year-old child in a park in Minnesota. Hendrix accused the child of stealing something from her child’s diaper bag. The man who recorded and posted the video was stunned by what he heard and asked why she should use the slur at a child, to which she responded, “If he acts like one.”

She later created a crowdfunding campaign on the website GiveSendGo. Hendrix seemingly doubled down on the use of the slur, saying she “called the kid out for what he was.” At the time of writing, the campaign raised more than $650,000.

Charlamagne had no sympathy for Hendrix amid the wave of social media backlash she faced.

“You aren’t being attacked, Shiloh,” he said. “You are being called out and held accountable because you called a little 5-year-old boy the N-word; and accountability feels like an attack when you’re not ready to acknowledge your toxic behavior.

“Now, Shiloh, concluded her message by asking for funds to ‘assist in protecting my family’ and potentially relocate. Yet another example that free speech ain’t free. Why are you using words that you can’t afford to use, Shiloh?”

Charlamagne noting that the original goal for the crowdfunding campaign was set to $50,000. Due to the massive amount of support she received, the goal was raised to $1 million.

“And as of yesterday, Sunday, May 4th, she has raised over $624,000,” he continued, “because she called a little 5-year-old boy the N-word; and you wonder why some people spell America with three Ks.”
