A Song of Ice & Fire: Tactics Achieves Full Funding in Less Than 7 Hours

CMON Interactive has recently launched a crowdfunding campaign for their new game, “A Song of Ice & Fire: Tactics,” based on George R.R. Martin’s fantasy series. Surprisingly, the campaign reached its initial funding goal in less than seven hours after going live.

According to the campaign page on Gamefound, “A Song of Ice & Fire: Tactics” is a two-player tactical skirmish miniatures game. Players can take control of characters from the series and engage in fast-paced skirmish gameplay. They can also spend coins to recruit iconic characters and experience legendary conflicts.

The initial release of the game will include the “Battle of the Trident” Skirmish Set, allowing players to recreate the iconic battle between House Baratheon and the Targaryens. The set includes detailed miniatures, unit cards, and dice branded with the respective house’s heraldry.

Additionally, the campaign offers various expansions, stretch goals, and add-ons. One notable expansion is “Drogon’s Fury,” which is exclusively available through crowdfunding. It features a giant Drogon miniature, action cards, terrain cards, and exclusive scenarios.

It is worth noting that the miniatures from the previous game, “A Song of Ice & Fire TMG,” are fully compatible and in scale with this new game.

There are three pledge levels available for “A Song of Ice & Fire: Tactics.” The first level, “Pledge Without Borders,” costs $60 and includes the “Battle of the Trident” set without any stretch goals. The second level, “Sworn Brother,” costs $80 and includes the set with all unlocked stretch goals. The highest level, “Dracarys!,” costs $260 and includes the set, all unlocked stretch goals, and the “Drogon’s Fury” expansion and diorama.

The campaign initially aimed to raise $300,000 and achieved this goal in just six hours and forty-five minutes. As of now, the campaign has raised over $602,719, more than double the initial goal. The campaign will conclude on February 22.
