Dave Grohl left Foo Fighters fans in shambles in September 2024 after announcing that he had fathered a child with another woman while married to wife Jordyn Blum.

“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” the former Nirvana drummer — who shares three daughters with Blum —announced in a lengthy statement via instagram at the time.

As music fans were left to come to grips with the shocking admission — Grohl had long been thought of one of the kindest rockers in the business — the “There Goes My Hero” artist is far from the only celebrity to have a child outside of his relationship.

Here are stars who have welcomed kids with other people — while they were still in a relationship with their partner.

“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” Grohl, who has an alleged history of infidelity in his past relationships, wrote via instagram in September 2024.

“I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness,” he added. “We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”

The other woman’s identity has yet to be revealed. Grohl and Blum — who were photographed at Wimbledon together just two months before the news broke — have been married since 2003.

Tristan Thompson

Khloé Kardashian’s ex may be the father of her two children — daughter True and son Tatum — but he has a long history of cheating on the reality star.

The most well-known of the NBA star’s adulterous affairs occurred on his 30th birthday in March 2021, when he slept with Maralee Nichols while still in a relationship with Kardashian. The tryst resulted in Nichols’ pregnancy with son Theo, who was born in December 2021. Even more devastating for Kardashian, she and Thompson had already transferred an embryo to their surrogate when the athlete and Nichols conceived their child. (Kardashian and Thompson’s son Tatum was born in July 2022, seven months after Nichols welcomed Theo.)

“Khloé, you don’t deserve this,” Thompson, who is also dad to son Prince with ex Jordan Craig, wrote in a lengthy post January 2022 — after paternity results proved he was Theo’s father.

“You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years,” he added. “My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you.”

Thompson and Kardashian split after the incident and coparent True and Tatum together.

Arnold Schwarzenegger

One of the most well-known celebrity affairs is Schwarzenegger’s relationship with his and then-wife Maria Shriver’s housekeeper, Mildred Baena. Their affair resulted in the birth of Joseph Baena, Mildred and Schwarzenegger’s son, in 1997. Though the Terminator star didn’t know Joseph was his son at first, as Joseph grew older, the resemblance to his father was uncanny.

Still, Schwarzenegger — who shares four kids with Shriver — kept his paternity a secret until Shriver confronted him in a therapy session.

“Everyone had to suffer. Maria had to suffer. The kids had to suffer. Joseph. His mother. Everyone,” Schwarzenegger recalled in his Netflix docuseries, Arnold. “I am going to have to live with it the rest of my life. … I had failures in the past in my career, but this is a whole different ball game: dimension of failure.”

Despite the drama, he is close to Joseph and frequently touts his accomplishments on social media.

Chuck Norris

In his 2004 memoir, Against All Odds, Norris admitted that he cheated on his wife, Dianne Norris, in 1962 — fathering a daughter, Dina, with a woman named Johanna.

“To my shame I never told Johanna that I was married,” the Walker, Texas Ranger star recalled, noting that Johanna advised her daughter not to contact the star.

“Johanna later confirmed to Dina that I was her biological father but that I was married and had children and she shouldn’t disrupt my life,” he wrote in the book.

Dina, however, knew she had to meet her dad.

“I didn’t need DNA or blood tests. I went to her, wrapped my arms around her, and we both started crying,” Chuck wrote. “At that moment, it was as if I had known her all my life.”

Steven Tyler’s Ex Bebe Buell

Liv Tyler grew up thinking her father was Todd Rundgren, her mother’s former boyfriend — because Rundgren signed her 1977 birth certificate.

“It’s a big thing for a man to say, ‘I know this kid might not be mine, but I still want to be her father,'” Liv later recalled to The Guardian about Rundgren’s decision to raise her as his own.

Buell — who had an affair with Tyler in the mid 1970s — didn’t want Liv to know that her father was the Aerosmith rocker because he was dealing with a drug addiction.

Still, Liv figured it out when she was a preteen when she noticed the resemblance between herself and one of Steven’s other daughters, Mia Tyler.

When she was 10 years old, Liv later recalled to Interview Magazine, she felt an immediate attachment to Steven after meeting him for the first time two years prior.

“My mom has a diary entry or something where I wrote, ‘I think Steven is my father,'” she shared, noting she still felt the same about her other father figure: Rundgren.

“I had the same feelings for Todd,” she added.
