CMON Interactive has recently launched a crowdfunding campaign for their new game, “A Song of Ice & Fire: Tactics,” based on George R.R. Martin’s fantasy series. Surprisingly, the campaign reached its initial funding goal in less than seven hours after going live.
According to the campaign page on Gamefound, “A Song of Ice & Fire: Tactics” is a two-player tactical skirmish miniatures game. Players can take control of characters from the series and engage in fast-paced skirmish gameplay. They can also spend in-game currency to recruit iconic characters and experience legendary conflicts.
The initial release of the game will include the “Battle of the Trident” Skirmish Set, allowing players to recreate the iconic battle between House Baratheon and the Targaryens. The set includes detailed miniatures, unit cards, and themed dice for both houses.
Additionally, the “Battle of the Trident” set comes with various terrain tiles, tokens, cards, and tokens for different purposes. The campaign also offers expansions, stretch goals, and add-ons, with the largest one being the exclusive “Drogon’s Fury” expansion, featuring a giant Drogon miniature and exclusive scenarios.
It is worth noting that the miniatures in CMON’s previous game, “A Song of Ice & Fire TMG,” are fully compatible and in scale with “A Song of Ice & Fire: Tactics.”
The crowdfunding campaign offers three pledge levels: “Pledge Without Borders” for $60, “Sworn Brother” for $80, and “Dracarys!” for $260. Each level includes different combinations of the “Battle of the Trident” set, unlocked stretch goals, and the exclusive “Drogon’s Fury” expansion and diorama.
The campaign initially aimed to raise $300,000 and achieved this goal in just six hours and forty-five minutes. As of now, it has raised over $602,719, more than double the initial funding goal. The campaign will conclude on February 22.
